Rules & Regulations

  1. Assembly Time:
    • The assembly starts at 8:15 a.m.
    • Parents & guardians are requested to send their children to school 20 minutes before the class starts.
  2. Attendance & Punctuality:
    • Parents & guardians must ensure the punctuality, regularity of attendance, and homework preparation of their children.
  3. Early Departure:
    • Students are not allowed to leave the school early without the Principal’s prior permission.
    • If a student needs to leave early, a letter from the parents/guardians must be provided.
  4. Absence:
    • In case of absence, parents/guardians must send a letter on the next day explaining the reason.
  5. Extra Care for Slow Learners:
    • Teachers at ABIS are trained to enable all students to complete lessons within the class hour.
    • Slow learners may be kept back after school hours for extra care if necessary. Cooperation from parents is expected in this matter.
  6. Homework Completion:
    • Students who do not complete their homework will be detained after school to finish it.
  7. Discipline:
    • Students found to be disobedient or arrogant will be expelled from the school.
    • ABIS emphasizes discipline, religion, and character building to produce not only good students but also good human beings.
  8. Pickup and Communication:
    • Parents & guardians are requested to pick up their children as soon as the class is over.
    • Phone calls to teachers during class hours are not allowed.
    • Guardians must communicate any issues through the student’s diary.
  9. Guardian Misconduct:
    • Any misconduct by guardians towards teachers or school staff will be dealt with strictly, which may lead to the student’s suspension, removal, or expulsion.
  10. Parent-Teacher Interaction:
    • Parents can visit the Class Teacher, Subject Teacher, or School Coordinator from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on working days to discuss academic progress or other issues.

School Holidays

  • The school is closed on Friday and Saturday and on all public holidays.
  • If necessary, the loss of working days will be compensated by keeping some Saturdays open.

Academic Session

  • The academic session from Play to Class VIII is from January to December.
  • The session is divided into two terms:
    • Mid Term: January to June
    • Final Term: July to December

Uniform

  • Students must wear the clean and ironed school uniform and ensure their shoes are polished and hair is properly combed.
  • Fancy clothing or expensive items are not allowed at school.

Fees

  • Fee Payment: Fees should be paid by the 10th of every month. A late payment charge of Tk. 100 per month is applicable from the 11th day.
  • If the month crosses, the late fee increases to Tk. 300.
  • Students failing to pay fees for three consecutive months will have their names removed from the school register. Re-enrollment requires full admission fee.
  • No student will be allowed to sit for exams without clearing all dues.
  • November and December tuition fees and the exam fee must be paid by November each year.
  • No extra money should be given to children except for transport fare.

Academic Curriculum

  • The curriculum follows the NCTB designed Curriculum, which is government-approved and referred to as the National Curriculum in English Version.

Extra-Curricular Activities

  • ABIS regularly organizes various extra-curricular activities to promote all-round academic excellence.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in activities such as:
    • Quran Recitation Competition
    • Maths Olympiad
    • Debate Competition (English, Bengali & Arabic)
    • Art Olympiad
    • Spelling Bees
    • Public Speaking
    • Cultural and knowledge-building competitions
    • National and religious day celebrations
